CIAO! Crunch Salad

This salad is bold, crisp, and dressed to impress. With green iceberg lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a sweet-and-savory honey mustard vinaigrette, it’s finished with crispy bacon and a generous pour of bold Italian olive oil — the kind that makes every bite sing. Serves 2–3.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head iceberg lettuce, chopped (about 3 cups)
  • 1 bunch watercress, trimmed (about 2 ¾ cups)
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 7 oz bacon (about 7–8 slices), cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup Ciao! Sicilian extra virgin olive oil – bold, fragrant, and deeply flavorful
  • 1 ½ tablespoons honey
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Steps

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels, let cool, then crumble into delicious shards.
  • In a large bowl, toss together iceberg lettuce, watercress, and cherry tomatoes.
  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together vinegar, mustard, honey, salt, and pepper. Slowly whisk in the Ciao! Sicilian olive oil until smooth and luscious — it’s the secret to that restaurant-worthy flavor.
  • Toss the vinaigrette over the greens and drizzle irresponsibly CIAO! EVOO on top.
